When I returned to Isla in `08 SEA FRIENDS DIVE SHOP was no longer located on the beach.
I am not sure if they are still in business.
Snorkeling: along the reef, North of Islote el Yunque is not recommended if there is any wind. The waves can get high and create under currents in the rocks.

One needn't go to the reef. Many pictures were taken in only a few feet of water.
SCUBA I had wanted to do a night dive, as I have never done one, but as I was only on Isla for a few days and, after a couple of days, `Sea Friends' didn't have any one else that wanted to go for a night dive, I opted for a two tank reef dive.
(See next `link' (first Dive) for details.) The price for a two tank dive was $500. This included the boat ride, two tanks of air, and, for me, thirty-two pounds of weight, without a T-shirt. in Zihuatanjo I used twenty-seven pounds, wearing a T-shirt. I hate to think how much weight I would have to wear if I was wearing a wet suit.
The crew consisted of Philippe Garrido, Captain & Dive Master, Georgina, from London, England, a Dive Master in training, who was planning to move to Isla in the fall, and Alan, Assistant Dive Master.
Because of my poor Spanish I didn't realize that the whole group wasn't going on the second dive. When we reached the second location on Manchones Reef, as the other divers were still in training, only Alan and I went overboard.
All in all it was a splendid day: the water was warm and calm; the skies were clear; the company was great; and the `Sea Friends' were fantastic.
