Nan Xun (pronounced Nan Shing) is on the Southern shore of Tai Hu Lake, about an hour's drive South West of Shanghai and almost directly South of Wuxi, .

THE COCOONS OF THE SILK WORM ARE SOFTENED IN THE WARM WATER. THE GIRL UNRAVELS THE STRANDS FROM THE COCOON AND RUNS THEM ON TO THE SPINDLE WHERE THEY ARE TURNED INTO THREADS OF SILK.
