LEE A. WOOD
2002 May 12. Saturday was sunny and bright. The bus picked us up at our hotels and took us to the Delphinario for the first part of our day’s outing.

AFTER WATCHING THE DOLPHIN SHOW,
WE CLIMBED BACK ABOARD THE BUS FOR A SHORT TRIP
TO THE QUAY WHERE THEY DOCK ALL THE TOUR BOATS.
Whereas the previous afternoon I had been on the larger of the two cats., for the dinner cruise, I was directed to the smaller of the two cats for the snorkel cruise. Here I met some of the people I had been with the previous day and some people who had been on the smaller cat the previous day.
They told us of their encounter with the buoy and you could see where the front brace had broken away from the main cross member. (It hadn’t as yet been repaired.)
They also told us that one of their party had been sitting with his back against the brace but when someone yelled at the pilot , “Look out”, the passenger had rolled away to see what his shipmates were looking at and thusly, barely, avoided being injured.

OUR FIRST STOP FOR SNORKELLING WAS AT |
A SMALL ISLAND WHICH WAS HOME TO MANY BIRDS. |

One discouraging comment, the boat does not carry sufficient diving equipment for all aboard. Their fins, masks, and snorkels are mismatched, worn out, and poorly fitting. Take your own, if you have it. Or wait your turn until others tire out.

After a pleasant dive we boarded the cat for a short trip to a second reef where the more energetic of us went for a second dive.

As on the dinner cruise, one should carry money, to pay for the `meal’ and/or refreshments.
From the reef we sailed to a small island where there was a lovely beach.
UNDER THE THATCH ROOF IN THE CENTER OF THE ISLAND IS A BAR AND DANCE FLOOR. |
RELAX UNDER A SHADY THATCH ROOF OR LAY ON A LOUNGE CHAIR IN THE WATER. |

Some people went ashore and joined the dancing in the lounge while others swam or snorkelled along the shore.
ONE OF THE, MORE COLOURFUL, CREW MEMBERS. HE WOULD LEAD US IN GAMES, ON THE RETURN HOME
See if I can describe this. One person, preferably male, holds a bottle between his knees. With hands tied behind his back he must jerk the bottle forward to make it squirt water.
Standing in front of the bottle person are two or three people, preferably female, who hold glasses between their knees, while their hands are tied behind their backs.
If the bottle person can successfully squirt some water into one of the glasses, those two people win a prize.
At the end of the voyage, all the crew members will be on the dock to help you ashore, shake your hand, thank you for coming, and one of them will be holding a container for you to deposit a tip.
